Resumen
La Historia del Arte del País Vasco, apenas ha hecho referencia a las mujeres creadoras, dibujantes, pintoras, escultoras, y a su producción artística. Es en la década de los años 30 cuando aparecen algunos nombres que empiezan a tener peso propio en el panorama artístico: Mari Paz Jiménez, Menchu Gal, Esther Ferrer, Mari Puri Herrero. Será con la creación de la facultad de Bellas Artes de UPV (1980) cuando comience a surgir un nutrido grupo de mujeres artistas, dedicadas a la creación, exposición, y distribución de obras de arte.
Euskal Herriko Artearen Historiak ez die ia erreferentziarik egin emakume sortzaile, marrazkilari, margolari eta eskultoreei, ezta haien ekoizpen artistikoari ere. 1930eko hamarkadan agertu ziren artearen munduan pisu berezia izaten hasi ziren izen batzuk: Mari Paz Jiménez, Menchu Gal, Esther Ferrer, Mari Puri Herrero. EHUko Arte Ederren Fakultatearen sorrerarekin (1980) hasiko da emakume artista talde handi bat sortzen, artelanak sortu, erakutsi eta banatzen.
The History of Art in the Basque Country has barely made any reference to female creators, illustrators, painters and sculptors, and their artistic creations. In the 1930’s, some names emerged that are now beginning to carry weight in the artistic scene: Mari Paz Jiménez, Menchu Gal, Esther Ferrer and Mari Puri Herrero. With the creation of the UPV Faculty of Fine Arts (1980), a large group of female artists began to emerge, dedicated to the creation, exhibition, and distribution of works of art.
