dc.description.abstractEste artículo analiza el valor y relevancia de la banca ética en el contexto económico actual y describe los pilares sobre los que se sustentan estas iniciativas. Se parte de una reflexión sobre el lugar del crédito en nuestras sociedades como clave para entender el impacto social de la intermediación financiera. El análisis se realiza desde el enfoque de los derechos humanos y conduce a describir los procesos de articulación de las iniciativas de banca ética que promueven el derecho al crédito, resaltando su condición de herramientas de acción política, como redes de acción colectiva comprometidas con la transformación social.es
dc.description.abstractThis article offers a reflection about the value and relevance of ethical banking in the actual economic context and outlines the pillars on which those initiatives are based. The approach is based on the consideration of the place that credit has in our societies, as the key factor to understand the social impact of the financial intermediation. The analysis focuses on the human rights perspective and leads to describe the processes that ground the ethical banking initiatives that promote the right to credit, underlying its status as a tool for political action, as collective action networks committed to social transformation.en
