Resumen
El papel jugado por la mujer en la historia de Bilbao ha sido relegado, y ese olvido se acentúa cuando se trata de mujeres religiosas. Por ello, a través de esta comunicación se intentará dar voz a esas mujeres que pasaron por los claustros bilbaínos. Para ello, se presentarán a religiosas que, a través de sus lazos familiares y de las decisiones tomadas, tanto a nivel individual como colectivo, tuvieron una influencia en la sociedad bilbaína de la época.
Emakumeek Bilboko historian izan duten garrantzia baztertuta egon da, eta emakume erlijiosoei buruz denean, ahazte hori gehiago nabarmentzen da. Hori dela eta, lan honen helburua Bilboko komentuetako emakume erlijiosoen gaiaz aritzea da. Horretarako, erlijiosoen banakako eta taldeko historiak, erabakiak eta beraien familiak, eta hauek Bilboko gizartean izan zituzten eragina jasoko du lan honek.
The role played by women in the history of Bilbao has been set aside, and this fact is more obvious when dealing with religious women. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to give voice to the Early Modern Age religious women in Bilbao. Thus, it will be presented these religious women both in an individual and collective level, their family links, and the influence they had on the society of that period.
