dc.description.abstractEven though the roots of philosophy go back to a reflection on physis, its metaphysical version that has become predominant in the Western tradition is much more attached to the world of animals. It is likely that this preponderance of the animal in metaphysics, which situates it above the vegetal, has been responsible for the opposition of traditional philosophy to physis-natura, strictly tied to the world of plants. Vegetal life, in which we humans also participate, demands in its turn that we take it into account and attend to a peculiar way, in which the material and the psychic are intertwined in it.en
dc.description.abstractPese a que la filosofía hunde sus raíces en la reflexión sobre la physis, su versión metafísica, que ha imperado en la tradición occidental, se ha fijado mucho más en el mundo animal. Es probable que este predominio que la tradición metafísica ha concedido a lo animal, situándolo por encima de lo vegetal, haya hecho que el pensamiento metafísico se contraponga a la physis-natura, estrechamente vinculada al mundo de las plantas. La vida vegetal, de la que también los humanos participamos, parece estar reclamando que la tengamos en cuenta, que atendamos a la peculiar implicación de lo material y de lo anímico que en ella se realiza.es
