| dc.description.abstract | El Trabajo Social, desde sus inicios como profesión, consideró la justicia social como su fin ético fundamental. Sin embargo, a partir de las dos últimas décadas del siglo XX, con el advenimiento del neoliberalismo y su conversión en la ideología hegemónica del mundo global, la idea de justicia social será fuertemente cuestionada. A través de la llamada Nueva Gestión Pública (NGP), la forma de gestionar los servicios públicos sufre un cambio radical en tal dirección. Estos cambios supondrán una reducción del Estado de Bienestar, afectando también a la profesión del Trabajo Social. Esta, si quiere contribuir, junto con otros colectivos y ciudadanos, a la construcción de un mundo más acorde con la dignidad humana necesita recuperar su esencia ética y volver a situar los derechos humanos y la justicia social en el centro de su actividad. | es |
| dc.description.abstract | Social Work, from its beginnings as a profession, considered social justice as its fundamental ethical goal. However, as from the last two decades of the 20th century, with the advent of neoliberalism and its conversion into the hegemonic ideology of the global world, the idea of social justice will be strongly questioned. Through the so-called New Public Management (NGP), the way of managing public services undergoes a radical change in this direction. These changes will mean a reduction in the Welfare State, also affecting the profession of Social Work. If the Social Work profession wants to contribute, together with other groups and citizens, in order to build a world more in line with human dignity, it needs to recover its ethical essence and to put human rights and social justice back at the center of its activity. | en |
