Resumen
Lan honetan egitura bihurkari eta elkarkari iragangaitzak aztertuko ditugu inpertsonal eta inkoatiboekiko konparazioan. Egitura horiek guztiek itxura bera dute kasuari, komunztadurari eta aditz laguntzailearen txandakatzeari dagokienez, baina ez dute jokabide sintaktiko bera. Lanean zehar, egitura inpertsonal eta inkoatiboak ezaugarritzeko literaturan baliatu diren irizpideak eramango ditugu bihurkari eta elkarkari iragangaitzen azterketara. Erakutsiko dugunez, bihurkari eta elkarkari iragangaitzek kanpo-argumentu bat dutela dirudi, inpertsonalek bezalaxe (eta inkoatiboek ez bezala). Alabaina, beste ezaugarri batzuetan, hala nola inpertsonalen ageriko argumentuaren pertsona-murriztapenean, bihurkari eta elkarkariek ez dute inpertsonalekin bat egiten eta inkoatiboen antzeko jokabidea erakusten dute. Azkenik, inpertsonal eta inkoatiboetan ez bezala, egitura bihurkari eta elkarkari iragangaitzetan ageriko argumentu bakarrak kanpo-argumentua dirudiela erakusten duten ebidentziak jasoko ditugu.
In this paper we explore intransitive reflexive and reciprocal constructions and com-pare them to impersonals and inchoatives. All these constructions have the same surface morphology in Basque: their sole argument is marked with absolutive case and agreement and the auxiliary selected is izan ‘be’. Nevertheless, they have different syntactic distribution. In this paper, we apply the tests that are used to characterize impersonals and inchoatives —and some others— to intransitive reflexives and reciprocals. Some of these tests suggest that intransitive reflexives and reciprocals have an external argument, patterning in this res-pect with impersonals and not with inchoatives. Nevertheless, in other contexts, reflexives and reciprocals depart from impersonals and behave like inchoatives. For instance, the overt absolutive argument is not subject to the person restriction observed in impersonal construc-tions. Finally, unlike in impersonals and inchoatives, the overt absolutive argument of reflexi-ves and reciprocals behaves in certain tests like an external argument
