Resumen
El análisis de un conjunto de «bonos de guerra» redactados en Vizcaya a principio del siglo XIX revela la presencia de rasgos característicos de la escritura de manos inhábiles, así como de fenómenos gráficos y morfosintácticos que se pueden interpretar a la luz de su origen vasco-románico. Dada la cronología de los documentos, ambos aspectos encierran un especial interés para la historia de la lengua española en general y para la del castellano en contacto con la lengua vasca en particular.
The analysis of a set of ‘war bonds’ written in Biscay in early nineteenth century reveals the presence of characteristic features of the writing of unskilled hands, as well as gra-phic and morphosyntactic phenomena that can be interpreted in light of their Basque-Romanic origin. Given the chronology of the documents, both aspects are highly significant for the his-tory of the Spanish language in general, and more specifically for the history of Castilian and its being in contact with the Basque language.
