Resumen
Interpretación en clave neognóstica de "Emanuel Quint", novela de madurez de Gerhart Hauptmann, a partir de las ideas de Hugo Ball, autor paradigmático en su relación con la literatura y la religión. Delimitados por un mismo contexto cultural, encontramos en la obra de ambos pautas para seguir las líneas del pensamiento contemporáneo.
This paper offers a neognostic interpretation of Gerhart Hauptmann’s novel "Emanuel Quint". We will expose different ideas of Hugo Ball about literature and religion. As it is known, part of the career of these two authors is delimited by the same cultural context. In this sense, it will be interesting to face their thoughts in order to achieve a better understanding of our contemporary culture.
