Resumen
La Convención sobre los Derechos de las Personas con Discapacidad nos recuerda que éstas tienen derecho a una ciudadanía plena. En este trabajo se explora lo que eso significa para las personas con TEA. En un primer paso, se aclara lo que la condición de ciudadanía supone, marcando así el horizonte al que hay que apuntar. Se aborda luego el modo como puede ser aplicada la Convención a las personas con TEA en cuanto ciudadanas, haciendo un discernimiento sobre algunas cuestiones problemáticas. Por último, se especifica en qué puede concretarse la ciudadanía plena para y de las personas con TEA, vista como realidad que hay que reclamar y como un horizonte al que hay que avanzar. En este último punto se ponen de relieve las ayudas a las que estas personas tienen derecho, y, además, se hace un énfasis especial en lo que ellas nos pueden aportar de cara al modo afinado con el que debemos entender y vivir la autonomía, cuestión central para la ciudadanía.
The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities reminds us that they have the right to a full citizenship. In this paper it is explored the meaning of that right for persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). First of all, it is clarified what is to be understood under the citizenship’s condition, drawin up so the horizon towards we move forward. After this clarification, it is introduced the way by which the Covention could be aplied to the persons with ASD considered as citizens, offering a discernment about some problematic questions. Finally, it is specified in what can be realized the full citizenship of persons with ASD and for them, bearing in mind that it is something to be demanded and that it is an horizon towards we should move forward. In this last topic they are higlighted the assistances they have rigth to become, and also it is placed a particular enphasis on what they can give us to understand and to live the autonomy in a much more sharpened way, which is a significant topic for citizenship.
