dc.description.abstractEl cooperativismo vasco es un modelo reconocido y estudiado mundialmente, sobre todo gracias al trabajo que Mondragón Corporación Cooperativa (MCC) ha realizado en ese ámbito durante más de 55 años. Sin embargo, ese referente en el que se ha convertido MCC se vio tambaleado con la crisis de Fagor Electrodomésticos S. Coop., que el 16 de octubre de 2013 anunció su entrada en pre-concurso de acreedores, y que finalizó con una declaración de concurso el día 15 de noviembre del mismo año, que llegó a poner en duda, desde determinados sectores, el sistema cooperativo vasco y sus valores y principios. En el presente artículo se analizarán los motivos que causaron la crisis de Fagor, para tratar de determinar si, efectivamente, esa crisis podría poner en riesgo a MCC y, en última instancia, al propio cooperativismo vasco.es
dc.description.abstractThe cooperative movement in the Basque Country is a recognized and studied movement all over the world, especially because of the work that Mondragón Corporación Cooperativa (MCC) has made in that field during more than 55 years. However, the model of MCC has become unstable due to the crisis of Fagor Electrodomésticos S. Coop. that in October 16th, 2013, announced that it was in the previous stage of a state of insolvency, and finished announcing its insolvency in November 15th, 2013. This fact made that various sectors would call into question the system of the Basque cooperative movement and also its values and principles. This article studies the facts that caused the crisis of Fagor, to try to establish if that crisis could effectively put into risk MCC and, as a last resort, the whole Basque cooperative movement.en
