dc.description.abstractHasta la fecha, no existe ningún instrumento de resistencia familiar validado en versión española. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar las propiedades psicométricas del Índice de Resistencia Familiar (FHI) en población española. Este instrumento mide la capacidad de los miembros de la familia para hacer frente y sobreponerse al estrés a través de cuatro dimensiones: Compromiso, Confianza, Desafío, y Control. La muestra se compuso de 511 progenitores con hijos/as entre los 12 y los 18 años. La validez de constructo fue analizada a través de un Análisis Factorial Confirmatorio y la validez concurrente por medio de la correlación entre las dimensiones del FHI y del Inventario Breve de Síntomas (BSI-18). Los resultados evidenciaron un adecuado ajuste de los datos a una estructura de tres dimensiones (CFI=.920, RMSEA=.054, y SRMS=.056), y correlaciones coherentes con la sintomatología ansiosa, depresiva, somática, y con el estado de pánico. Como objetivo secundario, se probó la invarianza factorial del FHI en madres y padres, identificando la existencia de invarianza configural. Por tanto, este estudio aporta datos preliminares que avalan la estructura psicométrica del FHI para su uso en población española.es
dc.description.abstractTo date, there is no validated family hardiness instrument in Spanish version. The present research aims to analyse the psychometric properties of the Family Resilience Index (FHI) in Spanish population. This instrument provides a measure of the ability to cope and overcome stress through four dimensions: Commitment, Confidence, Challenge, and Control. The sample consisted of 511 parents with children between 12 and 18 years old. Construct validity was analysed through a Confirmatory Factor Analysis and concurrent validity through the correlation between the dimensions of the FHI and the Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI18). Results evidenced an adequate fit to a three-dimensional structure of the original four-dimensional structure (CFI=.920, RMSEA=.054, and SRMS=.056), and consistent correlations with anxious, depressive, somatic, and panic symptomatology. As a secondary aim, factorial invariance of the FHI in mothers and fathers was tested, identifying the existence of configural invariance. Thus, this study provides preliminary data that support the psychometric structure of the FHI for its use in the Spanish population.en
