dc.description.abstractLa identidad se ha convertido actualmente en un tema candente donde cristalizan las consecuencias y las ambivalencias de la sociedad posmoderna que ha devenido una sociedad altamente compleja: global, plural, incierta, líquida, mediática… La identidad en este nuevo contexto se revela como tema y como problema. El retorno a un concepto de identidad esencialista, subjetivista o comunitarista, genera más problemas que los que resuelve. El individuo se ve obligado a elegir y reconstruir permanentemente su identidad. El concepto de transversalidad se ofrece como un nuevo definiens de la identidad en condiciones de pluralidad sin unidad.es
dc.description.abstractIdentity has turned nowadays into a burning issue which condenses the consequences and ambiguities of our highly complex posmodern society that has become global, plural, insecure, liquid, mass-mediatic… In this new context identity appears not only as a theme but as a problem too. The return to a subjectivistic or communitarist substantive concept of identity brings into more problems than solutions. Each individual must steadily choose and reconstruct his identity. Transversality can be an appropiate candidate concept to define identity in the new sociocultural condition of ubiquitous pluralism without unity.en
