Resumen
Los textos y la memoria de Pablo de Tarso fueron piedra de toque en el naciente cristianismo. Sin embargo, las obras que generalmente se datan a finales del siglo I o en el siglo II muestran diferencias sustanciales respecto de aquellas que se reconocen como indiscutiblemente paulinas. Las cartas originales de Pablo revelan un proyecto que no tuvo continuidad en las siguientes generaciones y que se transformó, de modos diversos, para responder a las nuevas circunstancias. En este artículo se presenta, primero, una posible reconstrucción de aquel proyecto inicial en base a cinco características y, segundo, algunas de las modificaciones que sufrió y que se pueden rastrear en los textos del siglo II.
Paul’s memory and texts were paramount for the identity process in the beginning of Christianity. Literary works written by the end of the First Century or during the Second are, though, quite different from those we recognize as genuine of Paul, these showing a thoroughly distinct missionary project that failed and was transformed in very different ways to cope with the new threats and challenges of the new age. This article faces this issue by, firstly, proposing five key features that could account for the historical Pauline project and, secondly, showing some of the alterations it suffered according to the data we can discover on Second Century texts.
