dc.description.abstractAnte la magnitud de lo que estamos sabiendo sobre la pederastia en el clero católico me detendré en dos cuestiones. Primero, la compleja y resbaladiza temática de la contextualización, pues solamente cuando se entiende una realidad (dejando claro que entender no significa justificar), se es capaz de afrontarla con inteligencia y capacidad de superarla. Segundo, presentaré unos puntos de reflexión, que considero centrales, para tratar de comprender cómo se ha llegado a la situación actual. Aunque lo esencial es, en este momento, ayudar a las víctimas de los abusos y la respuesta que desde la Iglesia se dé a esta situación, también me parece importante, aunque secundario hoy, el análisis de la información publicada de esta realidad, así como la dimensión de la pederastia del clero, en relación con la pederastia en la sociedad en general y en algunos ámbitos más concretos en particular, cuestiones que no abordo en el presente texto.es
dc.description.abstractGiven the magnitude of what we know about pedophilia among the Catholic clergy, I will dwell on two issues. First, the complex and slippery subject of contextualization, because only when one understands a reality (making it clear that understanding does not mean justifying), one is able to face it with intelligence and the capacity to overcome it. Secondly, I will present some points for reflection, which I consider to be central, in order to try to understand how the current situation has been reached. Although what is essential at this moment is to help the victims of abuses and the Church’s response to this situation, it also seems to me important, although secondary today, to analyze the published information on this reality, as well as the dimension of pedophilia of the clergy, in relation to pedophilia in society in general and in some more specific areas in particular, questions which I do not address in this article.en
