Resumen
En este trabajo se exponen las ideas básicas delimitar el concepto actual de cooperativa. Dicha delimitación debe tener en cuenta que la cooperativa es una empresa abierta, que puede operar con socios y con terceros, y que sus rasgos distintivos deben analizarse desde la noción de participación. Los principios cooperativos, cuya versión actual se contiene en la Declaración de la Alianza Cooperativa Internacional sobre Identidad Cooperativa (Manchester, 1995) son objeto de examen exhaustivo, dado que determinan las cualidades esenciales de la cooperativa, que hacen que ésta sea diferente a otros tipos de empresa.
Azterlan honetan, oinarrizko ideiak azaltzen dira, egungo kooperatibaren kontzeptua mugatu ahal izateko. Kooperatibaren kontzeptu hori zehazteko orduan, aintzakotzat hartu behar da, batetik, kooperatiba enpresa irekia dela, bazkideekin eta hirugarrenekin jardun dezakeelako, eta, beste alde batetik, parte-hartzearen ikuspuntutik aztertu behar direla, nahitaez, kooperatibaren ezaugarri berezkoak. Kooperatiba-printzipioen egungo bertsioa jasota dago Kooperatiben Nazioarteko Aliantzak, Kooperatiben Nortasunari buruz, Manchesterren, 1995ean, egindako Adierazpenean. Egileak zehatz- -mehatz aztertzen ditu printzipio horiek guztiak, printzipioek berekin baitakarte kooperatiba enpresa-mota berezia izatea, gainerako enpresa-motetatik desberdina.
In this paper the basic ideas are explained to define the current concept of a co-operative. This definition should take into account that the co-operative is an open company, which can operate with members or third parties, and that its distinctive features must be analysed from the notion of participation. The principles of cooperation, whose current version is contained in the Statement of the International Co-operative Alliance on Co-operative Identity (Manchester, 1995) are the subject of thorough examination, given that they determine the essential qualities of the co-operative, which make it different from other types of companies.
