Artikulu honek aztergai du nola iritsi diren azken hamarkadetako euskal emakume idazleak alienazio-iturritzat jotzera nazionalismoaren ama ereduzkoaren mitoaren bizipena. Aldaketa hain da sakona, non euskal kultura tradizionalean funtsezkoa izan den arketipoak –ama ereduzkoarenak– lekua utzi baitio kontrako arketipo bati: mum fataleari (Rodriguez, 2019, 24. or.) edo «ama munstro»-ari. Hainbat narrazio eta poema azterturik, ondorioztatzen da literaturaren esparruak rol erabakigarria jokatu duela amatasunari buruzko ikuspegi-aldaketa zabalean, eta, horrenbestez, sakon eragin duela euskal identitate nazionalistaren eraldaketan.
Este artículo examina cómo las escritoras vascas de las últimas décadas han llegado a considerar la experiencia del mito materno del nacionalismo como una fuente de alienación. El cambio es tan profundo que el arquetipo que ha sido esencial en la cultura tradicional vasca –la madre modelo– ha dado paso a un arquetipo opuesto: la mum fatale (Rodríguez, 2019, p. 24) o la madre monstruo. Tras analizar varias narrativas y poemas, se concluye que el campo de la literatura ha jugado un papel decisivo en el amplio cambio de perspectiva sobre la maternidad, teniendo así un profundo efecto en la transformación de la identidad nacionalista vasca.
This article examines how Basque writers in recent decades have come to consider the experience of the maternal myth of nationalism as a source of alienation. The change is so profound that the archetype that has been essential in traditional Basque culture –the model mother– has given way to an opposite archetype: the mum fatale (Rodríguez, 2019, p. 24) or the monster mother. After analyzing several narratives and poems, it is concluded that the field of literature has played a decisive role in the broad change in perspective on motherhood, thus having a profound effect on the transformation of Basque national identity.
Este artículo examina cómo las escritoras vascas de las últimas décadas han llegado a considerar la experiencia del mito materno del nacionalismo como una fuente de alienación. El cambio es tan profundo que el arquetipo que ha sido esencial en la cultura tradicional vasca –la madre modelo– ha dado paso a un arquetipo opuesto: la mum fatale (Rodríguez, 2019, p. 24) o la madre monstruo.
