Este reconocimiento le viene dado por el pozo de sabiduría que reúne entre sus escritos, cuya perspectiva existencial ha contribuido a creyentes y no creyentes. El objetivo del estudio es poner en valor el aporte de la Biblia como fuente de comprensión y reflexión de los derechos humanos. La finalidad es apreciar las Escrituras como herramienta que enriquece la identificación de situaciones de sufrimiento injusto, barbaries y actos de inhumanidad que, ayer y hoy, el ser humano es capaz de hacer a otros iguales en dignidad. El presente trabajo examina cómo diversos relatos bíblicos denuncian el sufrimiento inocente, con voz profética interpelan ante el mal y la injusticia y, cómo algunos de los testimonios de sus personajes contribuyen al reconocimiento y memoria de quienes han sido víctimas de violencia injusta. Desde la perspectiva de la teología bíblica, este estudio busca destacar la aportación que las Escrituras ofrecen acerca de la humanidad y la inhumanidad, una voz cuya recuperación resulta esencial para una comprensión más amplia y profunda de los derechos humanos.Although the Bible is a diverse and ancient library, it continues to be regarded as part of humanity’s heritage. This recognition stems from the wellspring of wisdom con-tained in its writings, whose existential perspective has enriched both believers and non-believers. The aim of this study is to highlight the Bible’s contribution as a source for understanding and reflecting on human rights. Its purpose is to appreciate the Scriptures as a tool that deepens the identification of situations of unjust suffering, barbarity, and acts of inhumanity that, both in the past and today, human beings can inflict upon others who share the same dignity. This work examines how various biblical narratives denounce innocent suffering, prophetically challenge evil and injustice, and how the testimonies of certain characters contribute to the recognition and remembrance of those who have been victims of unjust violence.
