Este artículo hace un repaso por cómo algunos dominicos de los siglos XVI y XVII vinculados a las Indias Occidentales interpretaron o releyeron estos relatos con el fin de descubrir si participaron de algún modo o no de esta corriente interpretativa esclavista.Certain interpretations of the story of Genesis 9:20-27 and the genealogy of peoples in Genesis 10 have sought to justify the enslavement of black peoples. These interpretations are alien to the original meaning of these biblical texts, but they have extremely serious historical consequences.
