Estas cooperativas persiguen fines de interés general gestionando servicios sociales, educativos o socio-asistenciales. En abril del 2000 se han regulado en el País Vasco por las especialidades que presentan: la ausencia de ánimo de lucro y el objetivo social delimitado. Esta nueva regulación supone la transformación de los Estatutos de las cooperativas acogiéndose a este Decreto y transformándose en Cooperativas de Iniciativa Social. Ahora se abre un periodo de reflexión entre las cooperativas para su transformación.In this communication to the case of the social Cooperative societies is analysed and a reference analysis of the newly promulgated legislation of the Basque Country is done. These cooperative societies prosecute the general interest, managing social, educational or welfare services. In April, 2000 they have been regulated in the Basque Country due toits specialities: the non profit aim and delimited social aim. This new regulation supposes the transformation of the Bylaws of the cooperative societies under this Decree and transforming themselves in Social Cooperative societies. Now a period of reflection has started among the cooperative societies for their transformation.spajournal article2026-03-16
