Quienes editamos este monográfico pensamos que sí. Educadores y pedagogos debemos ser conscientes de por y para qué hacemos lo que hacemos y por y para qué pensamos lo que pensamos. Un primer paso en esta dirección consiste en romper la lógica por medio de la cual la filosofía de la educación se corresponde con el campo de lo teórico y abstracto y la acción pedagógica con lo concreto y práctico. De ahí que, como señalamos ya desde el inicio del texto, nuestro objetivo con este monográfico sea explorar distintas formas de percibir, pensar, sentir y hacer la filosofía de la educación y la acción pedagógica.Do we need the philosophy of education? As the editors of this special issue we think that we need it. Educators and pedagogues must be aware of the reasons and aims behind what we do and the purposes of what we think. One possible step in this direction is based on breaking the logic by which the philosophy of education is inserted in the field of the theory and the abstractedness, and the pedagogical action in the field of practical issues and concrete problems.
