En este trabajo partimos de considerar que la respuesta a esta pregunta demanda ampliar la visión en el estudio las élites. Una visión que ha de vincular los estudios sobre educación con los procesos sociales y con los actores. Lo que conlleva un análisis más dinámico donde la sociedad se presente sin corsé, sin reduccionismos, compuesta por realidades conectadas como podrían ser «lo cultural», «lo material» o «lo social». El monográfico que introducimos en este texto se sitúa en esta línea de investigación en la medida que atiende a la doble dimensión de fragmentación entre centro y periferia, proponiéndose abordar tanto las relaciones históricas interiores de la Península Ibérica como sus relaciones históricas exteriores hacia Europa.What is the relationship between the configuration of educational institutions in theoretical and historical perspective and the phenomenon of the formation of elites? In this paper we consider that the answer to this question demands expanding our vision in the study of the elites. A vision that has to link studies on education with social processes and actors. This emphasis entails a more dynamic analysis where society presents itself without a theoretical corset, without reductionisms, composed of connected realities such as «the cultural», «the material» or «the social».
